I just found a great new browser based on Firefox called Flock. Slashdot has a blurb on Flock here. Flock features blogging tools, easy bookmarking through integrated use of del.icio.us, Flickr photo service and more. My first impression is that this is a great browser w/ little if any problems found yet. Well just one problem. I was unable to posy this blog using Flock's built in blogging tools. Still this is a developer's preview running on Mac OS 10.4 so I can't complain. This could be due to user error. I'll let you know how it fairs w/ time.

CORRECTION, I am now able to post to this blog with Flock's blogging tool. I have no clue what the problem was earlier.

Back from the long winter's night, its a new thought. I just wanted to express my opinion on the debates. I have to say right off that Senator Kerry lost all 3 debates from the basis of substance. He rarely answered the questions posed to him. He failed my 'global test' on that count. Now on style Kerry won the first debate and had some moments in the third. The Prez was off his game on the first debate. Debate # 2 (which I have only had opportunity to listen to the first 30 minutes of) was a poor showing for both candidates. Debate # 3 was all Bush. Kerry dropped the ball big time on the strong women question. To you men out there, when asked about your wife don't talk about how great you mom is. You will end up riding the couch for a week. Also Kerry's dragging Dick Cheney's lesbian daughter into the debate was uncalled for. He doesn't know what she is about or how she feels about her sexual preference. Kerry should have referenced someone he knows in his answer, like Barney Franks. Kerry would scream bloody murder if his daughter w/ her transparent top had been mentioned by Bush or Cheney. The VP debate goes to Dick Cheney hands down. He schooled Edwards. Edwards who by the way ran out of things to say 26.3 minutes into the debate and just began repeating himself. Don't take my word for it. Listen for yourself. You can't help but love Dick I have no political aspirations Cheney.

I just found Saddam Hussein's blog. In this blog Saddam tells us how things are going with the war. No where else will you get an inside look like this. Now on with the war. Here's wishing for a free Iraq for all Kurds, Shias and Sunnis, and the safe return of the coalition forces.

The real distinction is between those who adapt their purposes to reality and those who seek to mold reality in the light of their purposes.

Now for a moment to consider war. I have added a new link for Command Post warblog collection. This blog is contains up to the minute updates on the war for Iraqi liberation. As describe on the blog: << Conceived by Michele, created by Alan, and authored by the best damn bloggers in the world. Why? So we can post breaking war news in one convenient place, and not all over the web. What counts? Links and breaking news (keeping the rants for our home blogs). >> I have found this blog an excellent source on news of the war.

As the war intensifies Saddam and his regime are airing videos of captured and killed coalition forces. His hope is that we Americans will lose our resolve. He is mistaken. This will only strengthen our resolve to liberate Iraq and bring peace to that region. A peace which the people of Iraq long for. As we morn the loss of our troops, we should also honor there sacrifice. A sacrifice which will end the suffering of a people who have been dealt with brutally by Saddam's regime.

Our thoughts and prayer are with the coalition forces and the people of Iraq.

So here I sit on yet another thursday night. I realizes that I haven't blogged in quite some time. I would be watching ER about now. But not tonight. ( Preemptions may occur at anytime. ) So why not blog? Now don't get me wrong. I do support the war for the liberation of the people of Iraq. And yes this is a war to liberate an oppressed people, and not as some simpleton are saying a war for oil. If our President is fighting a war for oil, then my home state of Oklahoma is next. But i digress. With all that is serious in our world and all that is seriously wrong, I could use my weekly dose of medical drama and workplace romance.

Well this actually is not meant to be an ER fan blog. But then I don't really have a theme for this blog. Just my thoughts at any given moment. Now that is sure to strike fear in the hearts and minds of those who know me best. Well that's all I have for now. Pray for all those now in harms way if praying is something that you do. And if you don't pray I applaud you. But that is a blog for another day.

Totally unrelated ........ I made it my practice to insert at the end of my blog to insert an auto generated quote from Fortune. I lost Fortune in the upgrade to 10.2. If you have had good fortune in compiling fortune for 10.2.4 let me know how you did it. Until I get that working, below is a quote from my massive file of quotes.

The updates are slow going as my schedule has become hectic. I will try to set aside some time this weekend for something techy or political. I can almost certainly garentee that whatever I write will be lame. I wish I could spend some time now, but ER is starting in a few. Poor Abby has to deal with her crazy mom tonight. I knew a girl with a crazy mom. I wonder how that's going now? Well. if you have to have a crazy mom, you could do worse than Sally Fields.

thanks for reading ......
check back soon .....
